For me, food photography is about more than making a dish look good. I want people to almost feel the moment when they look at an image. The warmth of the light and the texture of the food and of course that little moment just before the first bite.
I’ve worked with photography for 15 years, alongside my background in food styling. I love working with light and composition and finding the details that make each dish feel special. Natural light is something I’m especially drawn to, but I also use artificial lighting when I need more control or consistency.
I’m particularly inspired by natural materials and surroundings. Wood, stone, linen, plants and beautiful textures can add so much to an image without taking attention away from the food.
I work with restaurants, food brands and other food related businesses, in Sweden, scandinavia and in Italy. I also love photographing in places where the surroundings are part of the story. The light and the space and the food all come together to create a feeling.
This is also where my Culinary Atmosphere work comes in. I want to capture more than what is on the plate. I want to capture the feeling around it.
